As a result of the U.S. Supreme Court decision: South Dakota v. Wayfair, Econoco is now required to bill and collect sales tax for shipments made into the following states:
California (CA)
Illinois (IL)
North Carolina (NC)
New Jersey (NJ)
New York (NY)
Pennsylvania (PA)
Texas (TX)
New sales tax laws applicable to drop shipments require Econoco to bill and collect Sales Tax on invoices for merchandise shipped into any of these states unless Econoco has a valid resale certificate on file from your company for that state.
If you are reselling merchandise shipped into any of the above states, simply email Econoco the applicable completed and signed resale certificates for said state and Econoco's invoice will exclude sales tax on your invoice.
The only exception is the State of California. California requires the purchaser to be registered with the state of California in order to claim a resale exemption.  If you are not registered with the state of California, California state sales tax law requires Econoco to bill and collect California sales tax on the invoice.
Failure to provide a valid, signed resale certificate for any of the above states will result in sales tax being billed and collected for merchandise shipped into any of the states listed above.
Click here to download the resale certificates. Fill out the correct form for your state.
Please email or forward by mail your completed Resale Certificates and any other correspondence to
